Evangeline produced her wand. She had been studying and practicing the spell for weeks, and was now able to perfect it. She produced the scissors, and began to work on her blonde tresses. She layered it, the way she had learned, and gave herself some bangs. Putting aside the scissors, she produced her wand. She was tired, and had taken to cutting herself in hidden places, and little tiny cuts on her fingers, disguised as paper cuts.

This was just the next step. Getting rid of her blonde hair was symbolic for her. Getting rid of the familiar, and jumping into unknown territory. Rolling with the punches. With a quick uttering of her spell, her hair turned a dark brown. She examined her handywork. It looked nice. Evangeline didn't look like herself. She liked that. Leaving the scissors, she waltzed out of the bathroom, running into someone as she went.

On her way to the bathroom to wash some paint off her face, Bella ran right into another girl who was exiting the place. The book in Bella's hand went flying, but fortunately she did not fall to the ground. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she said hurriedly to the brunette girl. Bella paused and studied the girl for a brief moment. Her face seemed very familiar, but Bella couldn't quite place her. "Do I know you?" she asked slowly before picking up her book.

Evangeline took a step back and looked up at Bellatrix. They were fairly close, at least closer than aquaintences. It took a moment to realize that Bella didn't recognize her. "Hi Bella," she muttered sheepishly, smiling awkwardly at her friend. A blush came to her pale features, which looked even more pale than usual in contrast with her dark hair.

It was then that Bellatrix placed the voice. She hadn't spoken to Evangeline in a while, but still, Bella was surprised to see her blonde hair dyed brown and Eva looking far more tired that Bella had ever seen her before. It no doubt had to do with her mother's death, but still, Bella could see that she was taking it especially hard. "Hello Evangeline," Bella said, a smile creeping across her face.

Evangeline smiled half-heartedly at her friend. Bella looked exceptionally tired as well, but Evangeline wasn't about to ask. She tucked her new dark tresses behind her ear absently. "How've you been?" she asked, smiling a bit more broadly.

Bellatrix shrugged slightly at this, not quite knowing how to respond. In truth, she hadn't been sleeping well and she had been sneaking around to meet with the Death Eaters. So all in all, not too good. "Alright, I suppose," Bella replied. "Busy with schoolwork and such. How about you?"

Evangeline subconciously bit the inside of her cheek. She offered Bella a wry smile, shrugging slightly. "M'alright," she replied quietly, eyes shifting down to her feet. In truth, she was very far from alright. She was still cutting. As if on cue, her arm began to itch, ghosts of her deep cuts. She knew it was wrong, and was especially saddened that Dean would cut himself as well, like he had threatened, were he to find out about her faked paper cuts and such.

It wasn't hard for Bella could tell that Evangeline was lying, mostly because she was exhibiting the same behavior that Bella had once tried. She liked to think that she was better at lying and such now they she had been before; now she evaded questions rather than telling entire lies, but still Bella knew that people could probably see right through her sometimes. "Anything you want to talk about?" Bella asked softly.
